About Us
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Wheaton!
Founded in 1959, the Rotary Club of Wheaton has been a cornerstone of service and fellowship in the Wheaton and surrounding communities for over 65 years. We are one of the 63 clubs that comprise Rotary District 6440, located in the northeastern corner of Illinois, the proud home of Rotary International.
Our Mission
The Rotary Club of Wheaton is a vibrant community of business and professional leaders committed to making a difference both locally and globally. We meet weekly to share the knowledge and experience of guest speakers, discuss matters of mutual interest, and plan initiatives that reflect our commitment to service above self.
Our purpose is threefold:
- Humanitarian Service: We engage in various service projects that address the needs of our community and beyond. From providing backpacks and school supplies to children, supporting vocational and educational programs for veterans, to implementing international clean water projects, we strive to make a positive impact wherever we can.
- Ethical Standards: We encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, promoting integrity and excellence in our personal and professional lives.
- Building Goodwill and Peace: We foster understanding and peace through service projects that bridge gaps between different cultures and communities.
Our Impact
Rotary International unites over 1.4 million people of action from more than 35,000 Rotary clubs worldwide. Our collective efforts improve lives both locally and internationally, whether by supporting those in need within our own communities or working towards global initiatives like eradicating polio.
